Free Summer Youth Performances Tonight!
GALA Hispanic Theatre presents a double feature of original work by the young artists of the Summer Intensive Youth Program and Paso Nuevo tonight at 8 p.m.
“Your Shadow Leaves You in the Dark” is a multidisciplinary piece written and produced by the Summer Youth Program students and based on their personal experiences and imaginations.
Paso Nuevo also presents their latest murder mystery, “Paso Nuevo’s College Show 2013,” which GALA describes as a “hilarious “who-done-it” tale,” in which “campus life is not how we remember it as more bodies drop than classes.”
Both pieces are bilingual. They were created by the students and directed by D.C. artist Quique Avilés, who leads the six-week summer youth training program at GALA.
