Mexican muralism + the U.S. movement it inspired

Watch our interview with art historian Luis Vargas-Santiago about Mexico’s early 20th century muralism and how it later influenced a very different U.S. movement. Vargas, a graduate student from the University of Texas at Austin, has spent the summer in D.C. as a Terra Foundation Predoctoral Fellow in American Art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
