Our Commitment to Transparency, Accuracy and Editorial Independence
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit newsroom supported by individual donors and philanthropic grants, Hola Cultura is committed to transparency, accuracy and editorial independence.
We have a conflict-of-interest policy and a gift policy and maintain complete authority over our editorial content. We do not accept charitable donations that would compromise our editorial independence or present a conflict of interest.
Accepting donations or sponsorship funds does not constitute endorsement of the funder, its opinions, products or services. Funders have no role in our editorial decision-making. Hola Cultura does not allow donors to influence our coverage, assign stories or review or edit our content.
Hola Cultura is committed to transparency.
We accept gifts, grants and sponsorships from individuals, organizations and foundations to help with our general operations, coverage of specific topics and special projects. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates as a public trust, we do not pay certain taxes and may receive funds from standard government programs offered to similar nonprofits.
All donors who provide a total of $5,000 or more in funding per year are disclosed on Our Partners page. Only a small fraction of our funding comes from anonymous donations. We pledge that we will only accept anonymous donations when they do not pose a threat to our editorial independence or conflict of interest and gift policies and do not exceed a total of 15% of total revenue annually.

We strive to get every story right but are committed to correcting errors when they occur. When mistakes occur, corrections are noted at the end of the article.

Aceptamos donaciones, subvenciones y patrocinios de personas, organizaciones y fundaciones con el fin de apoyar nuestras operaciones generales, la cobertura de temas específicos y proyectos especiales. Al ser una organización sin fines de lucro 501(c)(3) que funciona como organización pública, no pagamos ciertos impuestos y podemos recibir fondos de programas gubernamentales ofrecidos a organizaciones sin fines de lucro similares.
Todos los donantes que aportan un total de 5.000 dólares o más en financiaciones al año aparecen en la página de Nuestra Patrocinadores. Sólo una pequeña parte de nuestra financiación procede de donaciones anónimas. Nos comprometemos a aceptar donaciones anónimas cuando no representen una amenaza para nuestra independencia editorial, conflicto de intereses, políticas de donaciones y que no excedan un total del 15% de los ingresos totales anuales.
Hola Cultura se compromete con la veracidad.
Nos esforzamos por que todos los artículos sean correctos, pero nos comprometemos a corregir los errores cuando se producen. Si se cometen errores, las correcciones se anotan al final del artículo.
