We need your support to map DC’s Latino history

This summer Hola Cultura investigates where Washington DC’s Latino community has lived in recent decades and how factors such as affordable housing influence settlement trends. Our summer interns will use US Census information to create online maps. Then we’ll hit the streets in Washington’s first Latino neighborhoods to record oral histories with longtime residents.
It’s our most exciting summer project ever! But we need your help. We still must raise nearly $20,000. Your tax-deductible donation would help us pay for intern stipends, audio tapes and notebooks, and the rent on an auditorium where we’ll present the work to community.
