Are you a high schooler, college student or young adult interested in topics centered in Latine art, identity, social/environmental justice, and more? Do you want to improve your writing, teamwork and copy editing skills?
If this sounds like you, apply now for Hola Cultura’s Storytelling Program for Experiential Learning (SPEL) spring session, which runs from Jan. 27 to April 28. We are currently looking for editorial, social media and copy editing interns.

SPEL brings together high school and college students from around the country to develop their skills in a fast-paced and learning-forward team setting. Each team is led by a fellow who acts as a mentor, serves as a resource and provides weekly story assignments and feedback on each intern’s work. On Tuesdays during the semester, interns and fellows come together for weekly story lab sessions on Zoom from 6:30-8 p.m. Eastern Time.
Participating in SPEL gives you the necessary storytelling tools, training, mentorship and helps you build essential skills and become the next generation of leaders, reporters, and storytellers, while working with a virtual creative cohort and professional journalists.
High school students can apply via our online application form. College students and young adult volunteers can explore available opportunities on our Work With Us page. To be considered, please include your resume, cover letter and one to five writing samples.
D.C. and Boston interns can earn a $20/week stipend.
