Applications now open for Future Forebears, a new artist talk series

Future Forebears seeks to amplify the voices of contemporary Latine artists and showcase their contributions to the D.C. cultural landscape. Supported by a grant from HumanitiesDC, this dialogue series will engage emerging, mid-career and well-established Latine visual artists to foster cross-generational connections, advance careers and address career stage gaps.

The selected artists will participate in recorded discussions on establishing, sustaining and advancing Latine art careers in the D.C. area. The sessions will be compiled into a final video premiering at a public event in 2025 and featured in a limited edition zine.
