Tonight: Sonia Sotomayor reads from autobiography

By | Published | No Comments

While one may think of U.S. Surpreme Court Justices as an imposing lot who tend to ask  probing questions from on high, the court’s newest member, Sonia Sotomayor, has just penned an autobiography with the decidedly sweet title, My Beloved World.

She’ll read from its pages Friday night at a George Washington University’s Lisner Auditorium. Perhaps she’ll even field questions from the audience, instead of engaging in the usual judgey interrogations? I wonder how they’ll handle the book signings that inevitably go along with these types of events?

The book has already generated plenty of press. USA Today says she told their reporter that revelations about her Bronx childhood will surprise even her close friends and colleagues. The tome also dominated The Washington Post’s Sunday Outlook section with   a book review that you can find here. And she is on the front page of The Post‘s Style section again this morning.
