Paraguayan culture was celebrated at the American University’s Kay Spiritual Life Center on Saturday night, Mar. 22, with a series of musical and dance performances. Members of The local Ballet Folcklorico Ko’eti performed traditional dances from Paraguay.
Harpist Nicolas Carter interwove his performance with stories about his childhood in Paraguay, as well as the Paraguayan harp, the national folk instrument. And a former Peace Corps volunteer shared her experiences during a year in Peru.
