On Common Ground: Dominican Republic and Haiti — The Art Museum of the Americas and the embassies of the Dominican Republic and Haiti present an exhibit of works from the island of hispaniola, the home shared by these two countrie.The artists whose works make up the exhibition offer a new look at the island and the relationship between the two countries, with an emphasis on their brilliant and interconnected futures. From paradise to natural disasters, the exhibit shows the identity of the island and its people and uses examples from history as well as contemporary society to present a new perspective.
