Juan Pineda is DC-based graffiti/visual artist known for his distinct style combining urban-contemporary/street art and a connection to tradition. His murals in the Washington area and elsewhere have won numerous recognitions. He works in a variety of other mediums, as well, from canvass to 3D Installations and public art preservation. In 2005, Pineda restored the oldest remaining Latino outdoor mural in the District and signed on for a second round of restoration planned to repair earthquake damage to the same mural.
