Today our team of summer interns and volunteers will present Hola Cultura’s latest work, maps and video at 6:30 p.m. in a free community presentation, discussion and reception.
See you at the Mt. Pleasant Library! Hear about our work on a guided tour of D.C.’s Latino murals; a progress report on our “Beyond español” oral history project; and an update on Hola Cultura’s previous reporting on the impact of rising rents on some of our most vulnerable neighbors.
We’ve added a bonus screening of “Tamal Stories | Historias de Tamal” and a trivia contest for those who come early.
6:15 p.m. In case you missed last month’s premiere, come early to watch the new web-video by Daniel Martinez shot at last year’s TamalFest DC.
6:30 p.m. Trivia Contest | Concurso de trivia: Mostrar tus conocimientos para ganar | Show your knowledge of D.C.’s Latino community to win prizes!
6:45 p.m. The hour-long presentations begin, followed by a community discussion and reception.
