Hola Cultura’s DC Latino History Project
On Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 6:30 p.m., at the MLK Jr. Memorial Library, Hola Cultura’s staff and interns will talk about our latest research into the history and presence of Latinos in the greater Washington area.
Last summer, we examined where Latinos have settled locally over the last few decades. This summer we looked at where Latinos have been moving since 2010. We also mapped the different Latin American communities in Washington and the Maryland and Virginia suburbs.See where the Salvadorans, Mexicans and Guatemalans live in greatest numbers and learn which Latin American diaspora communities have little presence in the District but large ones in the suburbs.
SNEAK PEEK AT THE FALL SPECIAL ISSUE!
